Hydra Fill ®

Hydra Fill ® is a new anti wrinkle phenomenon. It’s a biodegradable, hyaluronic acid based implant that is injected directly into the upper layer of your skin to help preserve and restore the youthful look. Stringently purified, its molecular structure is modified to optimise its viscoelasticity and duration in the dermis. Hydra Fill ® is insoluble in water; it hydrates the dermis by imprisoning the water molecules giving the skin back its volume and initial form.

Is It Safe?

• Having dermal fillers injected is safe as long as you ensure your cosmetic consultant is qualified and has the appropriate experience, skills and intimate knowledge of anatomy required.

Can this kind of technique be used to treat fine lines such as frown lines and delay the appearance of wrinkles?
Yes. Fine lines and wrinkles are the result of the deterioration of the dermis. Dermal filling techniques using Hydra Fill ® implants are intended for all ages and can prevent and treat the formation of wrinkles.

What are the common reactions to injections?
In the hours that follow your injections you may see some slight swelling or small red marks which can be covered with a light foundation cream.

We advise our clients to expect some bruising although the precise degree of this varies between individuals. This is a naturally expected result of injecting into the skin but will resolve in time. It is impossible to predict exactly how long the bruising will last but usually it is a matter of days (there have been isolated reports of the bruising lasting a couple of weeks but fortunately this is extremely rare) We recommend that clients cut down their use of anti-inflammatory medications,( such as ibuprofen, vitamin C and aspirin) if possible , both in the days leading up to the treatments and for the following 3-4 days.

We recommend the use of homeopathic remedies such as arnica (in both tablet and cream formulation) since this has been shown to have a fairly significant effect on both the development and resolution of any bruising. This medication is extremely safe, can be bought over the counter from many chemists and has not been shown to interact with any other medications that may be concurrently taken (obviously this will be discussed fully at your pre-treatment consultation.)

What will my skin look like with out additional injections?
The corrections will degrade over time until the skin returns to its initial appearance. Hydra Fill® injections can be repeated but the effects usually last up to a year.

What is the difference between Botox ® and Hydra Fill ®?
Botulinum toxin (Botox ®, Vistabel ®, Dysport®) is used to treat any lines that appear as a result of making a facial expression. This could be a frown, big smile or expression of surprise. The botulinum toxin relaxes these muscles. We, at Temple Aesthetics, pride ourselves in being able to gently modify the expression so that any individual can still express these emotions of surprise, pleasure or anger but the resulting facial  contractions are more relaxed. This conveys the appearance of youth without removing ones ability to express emotions in a natural manner.
Hydra Fill ® is used to soften the lines that are apparent on the face even when explicit expression is absent (such as deep furrows between the eyebrows or lines between the nose and mouth).
