Consultants

sam-robson-2

Dr Sam Robson. MBChB. MRCGP. Member of British College of Aesthetic Medicine.

Sam qualified as a Doctor of Medicine from Aberdeen university in 1991. As well as being  the Medical Director of Temple Aesthetics, Sam is a GP appraiser and also has a voluntary post as the Medical Adviser for the RNLI in Aberdeen.

She is a firm believer in evidence based practice and so insists on using only scientifically proven treatments and products in her clinical work. She regularly attends courses and conferences in order to remain up to date and at the cutting edge of any new developments in aesthetics. Dr Robson attends regular workshops and seminars to refine her practical skills.

Throughout her  many years of being a GP, Sam has been aware just how important self esteem is and how closely it is linked to how people feel about how they look. There is therefore a huge emphasis placed on listening to clients and understanding their concerns, whether it be about looking older, having problematic skin, being out of shape or wishing to correct an asymmetry or perceived imperfection. She will tailor any treatment programme to the needs and budget of each client and aims to be available to discuss any concerns that may arise.

There is no doubt that by ultimately increasing an individual’s self confidence their ability to enjoy and engage in life to the full can be limitless.

karen-urquhart-1Karen Urquhart RGN, Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing (DipHEN), Independent Nurse Prescriber, Member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses.

Karen qualified in 1995 and, after spending 6 years within the hospital environment, moved on to general practice in 2001 where she became a highly experienced practice nurse specialising in chronic disease and gained her qualification as an Independent Prescriber in 2010.

Sam and Karen have worked together for many years and have built a very good professional relationship. It became apparent that they both had the same interest in how appearance affects a patient’s self esteem having spent many hours dealing with patient’s concerns. With this in mind, Karen took the step of venturing into aesthetic nursing.

Since coming on board in April 2010 she has been concentrating on skincare gaining qualifications in chemical peels, dermaroller, light therapy, microdermabrasion and has a thorough working knowledge of Priori skincare products and their philosophy.

Karen is committed to offering a high standard of aesthetic care which she feels starts with the initial consultation following through to aftercare and follow up. This commitment is shown by ensuring she attends training and updates and now intends to embark on a Dermatology Foundation Module.

Every practitioner in each individual treatment offered has received hands-on training from recommended experts in every specialized area of care offered.

Certificates and information about all training received is readily available at the clinic and any further information required about the qualifications of any of the staff will be readily available on request.
