Ionzyme^® DF Machine – High-Tech Anti-Ageing

At Temple Aesthetics in Aberdeen we have trained skincare therapists and use very carefully chosen products to combat the effects of ageing. However, at Temple Aesthetics, we go one step further and offer treatments using the Ionzyme^® DF Machine. This machine puts the facial treatments we offer at the forefront of scientific skincare. The key to the Ionzyme^® DF Machine is to enhance the penetration of skincare products through the skin so that the desired results are achieved more quickly.

The Ionzyme^® DF Machine is possibly the most advanced machine of its kind and overcomes the skin’s natural resistance with two tried and tested methods: lontophoresis and Sonophoresis. Iontophoresis uses electrical current to facilitate greater penetration of the nutrients into the skin. Sonophoresis uses sound waves to transport the product’s active ingredients through the skin’s layers. Both treatments can be combined for a truly intensive treatment.

The skin has a natural waterproof barrier that hinders the penetration of skincare products. Using the Ionzyme^® DF Machine allows skincare products to penetrate through the skin more than 4,000 more effectively than by a simple topical application. Using electrical currents and sound waves, after just a few minutes, the skin becomes more permeable. As a result, for the duration of the treatment, more product penetrates the natural skin barrier so enhancing the delivery of vital vitamins and anti-oxidants to the deeper layers of the skin.

At Temple Aesthetics, a standard procedure lasts about 90 minutes, during which time your face, neck and upper chest will be intensively treated. The resulting skin improvements will start to show almost immediately.

By having regular salon treatments, in addition to using the products at home, the concentration of essential nutrients within the skin are enhanced and the desired results are achieved more quickly. We recommend a schedule of one treatment once or twice per week. A minimum of twenty-four treatments achieves the required results. Thereafter, plan at least one treatment per month with an occasional booster course of one per week.

The main areas targeted are acne scars, chickenpox scars, pigmentation problems, peeling, and stretch marks.

How long does treatment take?
Treatment usually takes about 90 minutes.

How long before you see the results?
Improvements will start to show almost immediately after a 90-minute treatment. A series of 6 treatments are usually recommended for best results and value for money. These can be done on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Using this technology brings about faster results because more product can penetrate the skin during treatment.

How long do the results of the treatment last?
As with all skincare treatment or product, the results are non-permanent. If you discontinue use of the products, this would become obvious in about 4-6 weeks

Is treatment painful?
No, treatment is painless and actually quite relaxing.

How does the Environ^® Ionzyme^® DF Machine work?
The Ionzyme^® DF Machine overcomes the skin’s natural resistance with two tried and tested methods: lontophoresis and Sonophoresis. Iontophoresis uses electrical current to facilitate greater penetration of the product into the skin. It is used for larger surfaces, such as the face and the neck. With conventional Iontophoresis, changes are very much slower, whereas with the Ionzyme^® DF machine, the skin looks and feels younger within two or three treatments.
Sonophoresis involves the use of sound waves to transport the products through the skin’s layers. Sound waves produce better penetration through the skin than conventional ultrasound. Sonophoresis is used on limited areas, such as the upper lip and character lines around the eyes, on scar tissue and on pigmentation marks.
Both treatments can be combined, where necessary, for intensive treatments.

Where can the Ionzyme^® DF Machine be used?
The Ionzyme^® DF Machine can be used anywhere but is generally used on the face, neck and upper chest.

Is the Ionzyme^® DF Machine safe?
Yes.

Is an allergy test necessary?
No, not for use of the Ionzyme^® DF Machine but your skin will be acclimatized for at least a couple of weeks to the skincare products.

Are there any side effects?
No.
