Excess Sweating

Excessive Sweating – No Sweat

Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is a condition which affects the eccrine glands in the armpits. The resultant sweat patches on clothing are unsightly and can severely undermine self-confidence. The good news is that the condition can be effectively treated. At Temple Aesthetics in Aberdeen, we treat excessive sweating with botulinum toxin, or specifically Botox®. Using carefully controlled injections of Botox®, the amount of sweat produced is dramatically reduced (up to 87% in clinical trials).

Having identified the areas of maximum sweat production, treatment involves application of a local anaesthetic cream prior to injection of the Botox®, using very fine needles.

On average it takes one week for the procedure to take effect and the treatment lasts six to eight months.

We offer a follow up appointment 2 weeks after the treatment to ensure satisfaction with the result.
